私はテニスをするのも見るのも大好きです。
大人になってから始めたスポーツですが、すっかりはまってしまいました。
本法人の評議員にも、テニス協会関係者様がいらっしゃいます。

日本テニス界には現在二人のスーパースターがいます。
世界ランキング４位までのぼりつめた、お隣島根県出身の錦織圭選手。つい先月の全米オープンで日本人選手初のグランドスラム優勝を果たした大坂なおみ選手。
二人とも、テニスが超一流でありながら英語も堪能です。
勝利者インタビューで流暢に英語で受け答えする姿は本当に素敵です。

大坂選手は育った環境から日本語より英語のほうが得意ですが、錦織選手は中学校からIMGアカデミーというアメリカの教育施設兼プロスポーツ養成所でテニスをしながら英語環境に身を置きます。英語の獲得に環境がどれだけ大切かわかります。

これからのグローバル社会では、どの分野でも超一流となる人は英語力も求められます。将来本園から世界に羽ばたくような人材が出ても、本園で培った英語力があれば大丈夫！！

I am fond of watching and playing tennis.
I started playing tennis when I became an adult, and truth is, I am really into it.
One of our board of trustees for our preschool is a member of the Tennis Association and a big fan of the sport.

Currently in Japan, there are two tennis superstars I am very proud of.
The first tennis star was ranked number four in the world and he is from Shimane Prefecture, which is next to Hiroshima. His name is Kei Nishikori. The second tennis star, a female, won her first Grand Slam Tennis Tournament as a Japanese athlete just last month. She is Naomi Osaka.
These two personalities are top players in tennis and are both good at speaking English.
The way they speak fluent English after game or tournament winner’s interview is so cool!

Naomi Osaka, born in Japan, mainly grew up in an English speaking country, but Kei Nishikori grew up in Japan, having attended IMG Academy for his junior high school education. His English ability shows how important it is to be in an English speaking environment in order to be good at English.

In today’s global society, it is important to be able to speak English in any field of life.

In the future, if there should be a world-renowned personality, who grew up at our preschool, that person would be fluent in English and also have brighter opportunities to explore worldwide. With that in mind, I believe there will be no worries, because we are aiming toward that goal.
