ご近所さんから昨年のカブトムシに引き続き、メダカをいただきました。「メダカって何を食べるんかね。」「メダカさんのお世話をしてみたいな。」と、子どもたちは新しいお友達に興味津々です。「メダカさん形は同じだけど、色は違うね。」と、気づきや発見も楽しんでいます！

Last year, MIP received beetles from the parents of one of the children as part of nature study. This year, we have also received “medaka” (a kind of baby fish called killifish) from a caring neighbor.  “What do medaka eat?”, “I want to take care of medaka.” The children are curious about their new friends and are asking a lot of questions. “The shapes of medaka are the same, but the colors are different.” It is interesting and exciting to observe how children learn through inquiry and discovery. How nice!
