Interaction with Ono Higashi Elementary School!🌛

The preschoolers of MIP, Star Class(4-year-olds) and Sun Class(5-year-olds), had the opportunity to visit Ono Higashi Elementary School to interact with the 2nd graders this year.

First, our preschoolers introduced themselves to the large group of second graders feeling nervous. However, the second graders were really kind to them.

Next, the children all sang the ‘Head Shoulders Knees and Toes’ song. The elementary school children taught the preschoolers how to sing the song backwards, too.

After that, all the students engaged in Rock, Scissors, Paper contest. At the end, we counted the number of children who remained standing and our preschoolers emerged winners.

The children also played a friendly grouping game and the preschoolers were happy to join the elementary school children in making the groups.

At last, we sung the BINGO song together and before we realized, the bell rang to signify the end of proceedings. We felt very sad to say good bye.

The 2nd graders at Ono Higashi Elementary School this year are awesome.

They are good at lining up immediately after an exciting game.
They were so kind in clapping for the preschoolers when they won the Rock, Scissor, Paper game.

Above all, their English was better than I thought.

Huge appreciation to all the teachers and students of Ono Higashi Elementary School.

The preschoolers kept asking, “When can we visit them again?” right after we came back to MIP. The preschoolers are really looking forward to becoming elementary school students in the near future.
