Experience in childcare: 40 years and counting Hobbies: Reading novels and manga with "Ashita no Joe" as my favorite manga. I am a senior educator with more experience in childcare than anyone else, but this is my first encounter with the IB and English immersion education. I was intrigued by the opportunity at the preschool and joined to try something new. Regardless of my age, I am doing my best as a freshman. By collaborating with foreign teachers and nursery school educators, we aim to create a preschool where children find joy in exploring various learning engagements and discovering the fun in learning English. Our goal is to provide parents with a peace of mind, knowing that their children are not only cared for but are also having enjoyable and wonderful educational experiences.

Before joining the preschool, I had never been involved in international affairs, and I was not very adept at communicating with foreigners. However, here, we naturally use English as part of our daily life, and I have had the opportunity to experience different cultures, which has truly broadened my horizons. I am committed to caring for the children in a way that allows them to appreciate international cultures while respecting the rich cultural heritage of Japan through the International Baccalaureate education.

Mr. Winfred has worked as an English teacher from kindergarten to high school in both public and private schools for 20 years. He has lived in Japan for 14 years. He earned his teacher’s license in his home country.He studied as an exchange student at Yokohama National University. He speaks English as his mother tongue and also speaks 3 other languages including Japanese. In 2014, he received the Most Valuable English Teacher award from TEMI.He likes to watch movies, sing, and experience different cultures.

This is Ms. Anji’s 9th year working as a teacher. She is originally from the Philippines and has been living in Japan for 5 years. She has a teaching license and has worked closely with children who speak English as a second language here and in her home country. Her goal is for students to use English as a gateway to explore the rest of the world. When she’s away from school, she’s out running marathons, cycling, hiking, and searching for the best nikku udon in town.

Ms. Tino has been working as an English teacher for 5 years in China and a year in Japan . She has a rich background in journalism, however, she has more passion for developing young minds into kind, thoughtful, and contributing adults. She enjoys reading and traveling. She likes eating Okonomiyaki and ramen. She also likes Pokémon and Dragon ball.

Mr. Allen has taught English at schools and companies for 32 years. He has lived in Japan for 32 years. He has a bachelor’s degree in education. He is bilingual in English and Japanese. He also writes English columns for Nishi Nihon Times, and is a radio presenter at FM Hatsukaichi. He is an athlete who challenges breaking his own record in triathlon from time to time. He also loves camping, BBQ, traveling, and shopping at Costco.

Mr. Jean-luc has a cooking background from back home in New Zealand. He has always been interested in childhood education, so he was super excited when the opportunity arose to teach children and move with his wife and two young children to Japan. Mr. Jean-luc is eager to learn more skills that will help him with childhood education. He likes to cook and go camping with his family. He likes to eat okonomiyaki and takoyaki.

Mr. Jeremy moved from the USA to work as an English teacher in Japan 7 years ago. He primarily worked at public high schools and special needs schools. Since moving to Japan, he has fallen in love with teaching and has attended various TEFL courses and trainings to improve his teaching skills. In his free time, he likes to watch San Frecce games, play futsal, and play board games and video games. Mr. Jeremy likes to eat pizza and sashimi.

Ms. Drocelle is a passionate educator with over 12 years of teaching experience. She is originally from Rwanda, and she can also speak French. Ms. Drocelle holds a TESOL certificate and a Master Degree of Education from Hiroshima University. She has been an ALT at different Japanese public schools for 3 years. She loves reading and watching soccer games. She also enjoys onsen, okonomiyaki and trying new food.

Ms. Cordelia received early childhood teaching qualification in her home country. She has worked at international preschools for 18 years. She especially has long experience in Montessori education, and is an international early childhood education expert. She likes to read, cook and research on new methods of early childhood education.

Hello, everyone! I am from the Philippines which is known as the “Pearl of the Orient Seas”. My hometown is Manila where you could see the famous “Manila Bay”. I have been teaching for almost ten years. I have taught from preschoolers to adults and I enjoyed each class I had with them! One memorable teaching job I had was when I taught inside big cruise ships. This made me travel to different countries across Asia and the Pacific region. My hobbies are making paper artworks such as paper quilling and origami, singing, and dancing. Outside of work, I like taking care of my baby plants and cleaning my house.

Mr.Michael Walsh Mr Michael is from the Uk he came to Japan four years ago. He is learning Japanese but finds it very hard. His favorite Japanese foods are natto ,soba and tempura. (But his favorite food has to be Steak). He loves playing football and watching movies. He is also a qualified English football coach hoping to start a sports program in the future.
