本園では、国際バカロレア教育の理念を大切にし、「自分たちで調べること」「自分の感じたことを大切にすること」に取り組んでいます。子どもたちは、自分で調べたことを感じ、考え、自分の言葉で表現しながら、友だちの意見も取り入れて視野を広げていくことを大切にしています。
今日は、３歳児クラスの子どもたちがバスに乗って、近隣の公園へ出かけました。子どもたちは図鑑を片手に、小さな発見をとことん調べ、「調べることが楽しい！」と言わんばかりに、楽しんでいました。その後、 園庭でも、引き続きその姿がたくさん見られています。保育教諭は、小さな「なぜ？」「どうして？」に寄り添いながら、子どもたちは探究心を育んでいきます。

At MIP, we value the philosophy of the International Baccalaureate education and focus on guiding children to investigate things on their own and cherish their own feelings and experiences. The children place importance on feeling, thinking, and expressing what they have investigated in their own words, while also expanding their perspectives by incorporating the opinions of their friends.
Today, the 3-year-old class rode the preschool bus to a nearby park. With picture books and field guides in hand, the children eagerly explored their small discoveries, through investigation and clearly enjoyed themselves as if to say, “It was fun to investigate!”
After returning to the preschool, this spirit of inquiry continued to be seen.
The teachers continue to nurture the children’s spirit of inquiry by staying close to their small “Why?” and “How?” questions.
