本園が開園してから早３週間が過ぎようとしています。最初は毎日子どもたちの泣き声が響いていた園舎でしたが、最近はちょっとずつ落ち着いてきました。驚くべきは子どもたちの順応力と吸収力！すでにおうちに帰って英語を口にしたり英語の歌を歌ったりするという親御さんからの嬉しいご報告もあります。

今日は本園最初のインターナショナルイベント（国際行事）であるイースターを祝いました！イースターとは日本語で復活祭のことです。クリスマスはキリストの誕生を祝う祭りであり、イースターは復活を祝う祭りです。日本ではクリスマスほど大きな行事ではありませんが、海外ではメジャーなイベントです。

It has already been 3 weeks since Moonlight International Preschool opened. At first, the children cried a lot, but recently they have become used to the preschool environment and are enjoying their everyday activities. It is surprising to see the smooth adaptability and absorbing power of the young children! Some parents of our preschoolers have reported that their children are speaking English and even singing English songs at home.

Today, we celebrated our first international event, Easter! Easter is an event that celebrates the crucifixion, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is not such a huge and popular event in Japan, compared to other countries.

イースターには家族で集まってごちそうを食べます。生命の誕生を意味するたまごである「イースターエッグ」、子どもをたくさん産むうさぎを「イースターバニー」として、この行事のシンボル的存在にとらえています。

During Easter, families get together and enjoy new life in Christ. Easter eggs and Easter bunnies represent life and prosperity.

本園では、イースターについて簡単に説明をして、みんなで「イースターエッグ」を探す「エッグハント」をして楽しみました。無事たまごを見つけたときのこの嬉しそうな表情！

At Moonlight International Preschool, we had an assembly of the children to learn a little about the Easter event. After the assembly, the children took part in an egg hunt to find the Easter eggs! Look at their happy faces after they found the eggs!

そのあと、見つけたたまごに色塗りをしたりシールをはったりして飾りつけをしました。
来週もたまごからもらったパワーで元気にかんばるぞぉ～！

Later, during an art activity, the children colored the eggs they found and others used stickers to decorate them to represent the warmth and sunlight of Spring. With the energy obtained from these magical eggs, we are going to be filled with lots of joy and power to continue our work from next week!
