年長組は、卒園を前に色々な活動を行っています。
今まで取り組んできた　IBのユニット活動で平和学習の締めくくりとして、Memorial Tripでは、保護者様にもご協力いただいた千羽鶴を平和公園へ献納し、原爆資料館を見学しました。子どもたちなりに感じたことや考えたことが、これからの心の中に大切に残っていくことを願っています。
その後は近くの公園でお弁当を食べ、思いきり遊ぶ時間も過ごしました。真剣に学ぶ姿と、無邪気に遊ぶ姿、そのどちらもが子どもたちらしい大切な時間だと感じます。
また先日は卒園式の練習も行いました。こうした一つひとつの活動を通して、子どもたち自身も「もうすぐ卒園」ということを少しずつ感じ始めているようです。

Reflecting on Peace and Preparing for Graduation
Sun Class is approaching the end of their preschool journey and the children have been engaging in several meaningful learning experiences. Their experience of the IB unit of inquiry on peace took them to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park for their Memorial Trip. With the kind support of their families, the children presented Senbazuru (one thousand folded paper cranes) to the Peace Park and explored the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum. Through this experience, the children had an opportunity to think about peace, kindness, and the importance of caring for others. We hope that the thoughts and feelings they developed during this visit will remain with them as they continue their learning journeys.

After the visit, the children shared a picnic lunch at a nearby park and enjoyed time playing together outdoors. These moments balancing thoughtful inquiry with joyful play reflect the spirit of childhood and the holistic learning we value at Moonlight International Preschool. The children have also begun practicing for their upcoming graduation ceremony. Through each activity and reflection, they are gradually becoming aware that they are reaching an important milestone. We are proud to see them grow as confident, caring learners who are ready for the next stage of their journey.
